Crack Seal: Asphalt’s first line of defense
Crack sealing is an extremely economical way of maintaining and extending the life of asphalt surfaces. It is inexpensive and effective when compared to undertaking other more extensive works such as resurfacing and reconstructing. Crack sealing is a practical and cost effective measure and is an essential part of any good pavement maintenance program for roads and parking lots.
Cracks in pavement allow moisture to penetrate the surface which causes pavement failure. Neglecting to seal cracks results in more cracking, potholes, and eventually a major asphalt breakdown. This can lead to expensive repairs. To minimize water seeping into the pavement sub base, crack sealing with a hot rubberized sealant is required, reducing future pavement problems.
Sealcoating protects and extends the life of asphalt
Sealcoat is one of the most important elements of a preventive asphalt maintenance plan. Newly paved surfaces should be sealcoated within the first three years and every two years thereafter. This solution can be sprayed or squeegy applied. Ideal for roadways and parking lots.
Add a new wearing surface with Slurry Seal
Slurry seal is a cost-effective way to extend the life of the asphalt while providing a new look and texture without total resurfacing. Slurry seal will add a new wearing surface layer. Slurry seal tends to improve its appearance with wear. There are 3 different types (thicknesses) of slurry seal. Ideal for roadways and parking lots.
Potholes and alligator cracking are very common issues on roads and parking lots. Not only are they an eye sore, but if left untreated, potholes hold the potential as trip hazards, can cause serious damage to vehicles, and could be a potential source for lawsuits to business owners and property managers. Alligator cracking is caused because of a weak asphalt surface, an un-easy sub base, poor drainage, or a combination of all of these. Potholes and alligator cracking are serious types of asphalt deterioration and should be addressed as an immediate repair need.
There are several patching methods and depending on specific situations, all are good choices, but each situation needs to be addressed as to which method should be applied.
Full service asphalt striping and marking
Marking is the finishing touch of any asphalt project. Newly striped asphalt shows that a property owner values its customers, patrons, or citizens by exposing fire lanes, driving lanes, handicap zones, and parking stalls. When done correctly, these markings can improve traffic flow and protect the property owner from consequential liability. Ideal for roadways and parking lots.
A Premium Coating System for Roads, Streets, & Other Pavement Surfaces
Liquid Road is a high performance mineral and fiber reinforced asphalt emulsion blended with polymers and special surfactants for superior adhesion, flexibility, and durability. Liquid Road replenishes the binder that is lost through oxidation and weathering, while providing a slip resistant durable surface treatment. Liquid Road’s deep, rich black color gives old, oxidized pavement a “like new” surface that melts snow and ice faster, and reduces cleaning and maintenance costs. Basic Uses: Liquid Road is ideal for secondary roads, County roads, and residential streets. Liquid Road may also be used on off-street parking areas as a premium surface coating. Liquid Road produces an even textured surface that is ideal for vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic.
Composition: Liquid Road is a high solids polymer-modified, fiber reinforced clay stabilized asphalt emulsion fortified with special surfactants to promote superior adhesion and durability. Liquid Road is job mixed with select aggregate to produce a superior skid-resistant wearing surface.
